Alison Maria Krauss started her musical career at a young age she was winning competitions in her local area at the age of 10. She recorded for the first time at age 14. The year 1985 saw her signed with Rounder Records and in 1987 released her debut solo album. She was asked to join the band with whom she performs Alison Krauss and Union Station and released her first album in the group in 1989.
